That sounds like the words to a song, doesn't it? It is a question I had when I looked out onto my front porch last week.

Our front porch faces north but is somewhat indented so the sun doesn’t shine on that area of our home. So, I have always used artificial flowers in two different containers to welcome my guests and brighten up my porch. So what type of creature would dare to eat my artificial flowers? What new "guest" could do such a thing?
I assume it is our resident groundhog, we'll call him Sparky.......as I found some of the missing flower stalks without any blooms on them under our real azalea bushes.
Should I be sorry if this groundhog has a tummy ache? I think not. Daddy has a 22 and he is not afraid to use it.
Boy, you might say to yourself that this development is not really news worthy by any means; but really our lives have been pretty simple the last couple of weeks.
We are still seeing that wonderful granddaughter of ours at least once a week. We even got to officially baby-sit her while Matt and Jill went out to dinner to celebrate Jill’s birthday. I was so thankful they didn’t return while I was changing her clothes, as she was vocally quite loud and telling me that she doesn’t like to have her clothes changed. She was quite content when they arrived home BUT you should have seen the look she gave Jill when Jill came over to say hi and they were home. Annabelle just looked and stared with this look of “Boy I am so glad to see you.....Mom’s Home!!!” She is now smiling when you talk to her and make funny faces and noises, which keep us very entertained. I must have taken 30 pictures trying to get that beautiful smile on film.....but it seems it's as elusive as our flower eating groundhog, so I was not successful. Jill has gotten a wonderful picture of her smiling...Go to mandjkeller.com to see the pic). She is so cute. We are going to Sedona Arizona with Matt, Jill and Annabelle in a couple of weeks. Really looking forward to that.
